Monterey Bay Aquarium Jellyfish, sharks, sting rays....oh my! Come join us at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Thursday, November 6th. Families must be at the Aquarium by 11:30 AM. Late arrivals WILL NOT be able to access the aquarium with the school! We have only 70 spaces available. All children in our group will be free. The PTO is requesting a $30 donation for each adult attending. These proceeds will go into the Mountain Oaks Science Camp funds. The donation is not required to attend. Just a reminder that all students attending must be up-to-date on their immunizations or have a waiver (medical or IEP) on file to attend. A HUGE thank you to the Beauchemin Family! They donated this spectacular display of pumpkins to our students at Mountain Oaks. Feel free to come by the school this week and pick up your pumpkin (one per student) while supplies last. Any remaining pumpkins will be donated to local farmers for livestock feed. Pet Day Come show off your favorite pet during our Pet Day on October 30th from 12:00-1:00. There will be a Pet-Themed Bake Sale, Costume Contest, and Silent Auction. Volleyball Awards & End-of-Season Surprise Everyone is invited to come support our volleyball team by attending the Volleyball Awards on October 29th at 4 PM at the San Andreas site. Halloween Parade We will be having our Annual Halloween Parade on October 29th starting at noon. Students are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes and parade through the offices and collect candy along the way. This year, the school's Halloween theme is "Fairytales". Parents and students are welcome to dress to our theme, if you want to. This is a PTO sponsored event and we are asking for parents to donate a bag of candy by October 28th, so that we have time to get candy to all of the staff who will be handing it out during the parade. Halloween Social 7-12th Grade Come Join us for a fun evening during out 7-12 Halloween Social on October 24th from 6:00-9:00 PM at the San Andreas site. There will be snacks, music, and just plain fun hanging out. The cost is $7.00 per person and must be paid for by October 23th. Students are required to do the online form AND complete a Special Event form before October 23rd. The Special Events forms are available at the front office or you can print it from the Google Sign Up form.
