Lunches We contract with Calaveras River Academy for our food services and hot lunches. They are currently in the process of hiring someone after receiving notice that their previous employee would not be returning. Unfortunately, we will only be able to offer shelf-stable lunches while they are in the process of hiring someone. Families must still sign-up 5 days in advance through the lunch program and list "Shelf Stable" as their chosen lunch. We need to know in advance to make sure we have enough items to make the necessary lunches. Once they have someone hired, we will post the hot lunch menu. Families are still required to sign up 5 days in advance for the shelf-stable lunches. Posted 4/2/25
Lunches Just a reminder that if you signed up for lunch and are not going to be on campus to get lunch please let us know before 11:00 that day. That way we have time to inform the cafeteria lady and she won't prepare the food. Just today alone we had 11 out of 18 students not show up for the lunches they ordered. That is a lot of wasted food. At some point, it could become an issue and we could lose the hot lunch program and only be able to offer shelf-stable lunches to our families. Posted 11/12/24
Charter Schools Update This information is form Charter Schools Develpoment Center regarding the Senate and Assembly Bills regarding Charter Schools: Our collective advocacy is working! That’s why our opponents are pulling procedural tricks at the last minute. Despite the author’s word, AB 84 has been resurrected and is back in play. In a last-minute maneuver, Senator Cortese (D – San Jose) has gut-and-amended (a term for overhauling the contents of a bill late in the process) SB 494 to include a one-year extension of the charter moratorium and a one-year extension to use verified data in charter renewals. We can’t wait to stop fraud now! Our position is unchanged. CSDC and the charter school coalition is united and resolved: ❌ NO on AB 84❌ NO on SB 494✅ YES on SB 414All three bills could face votes as soon as Friday, September 12 — the last day of session. We have just 48 hours to act. Now is the time to support SB 414, by Senator Angelique Ashby. Senator Ashby is a charter school parent, a leader in the Senate, and a champion of sensible reforms that won’t take money from the classroom. Call your Assemblymember NOW!
