Promise Grant The Promise grant is now available at community colleges to cover tuition for full-time students. This grant is available regardless of how high or low a family's household income. Scholarship Deadlines Mountain Oaks has two due dates for our local scholarships. The main due date for completed scholarship packets was Friday, January 31. The second due date is Wednesday, February 12, which is for scholarships that have a special essay topic, letters of recommendation, and/or specialty applications. The majority of the scholarships were due already. The February 12th date is only for scholarships that have an extra essay topic* and/or letters of recommendation required.(* for example: "The Value of Water" for the Calaveras Water district.) Note: Tuolumne scholarships will have a later due date, as most scholarship sponsors have not released their scholarship applications yet. Come to our first Sutter's Fort planning Workshop this Thursday, January 23 at 1:00 in Canyon Oak where we will be making plans for our Journey back in time to Sutter's Fort and all the fun activities we will have at our Environmental Living Program at Sutter's Fort on February 20 and 21!
