Basketball Sign-Ups Are you interested in playing Basketball for Mountain Oaks School? We are trying to have both a Boys' and a Girls' Basketball team. This is a high school athletics team, but 8th-graders may practice with the team, upon approval from the coach, but are not eligible to play in games. No experience is necessary. We must have 8 (9-12 graders) signed up and committed to play to have a team before October 31st. All players must complete an Athletic Packet before beginning practice. Garden Project Saturday, October 7th, Mountain Oaks families came together to get some large projects done in our school garden, from building boxes, prepping planter boxes, and making a compost bin and stepping stones. The project was planned out by the Mountain Oaks Green Team. It also included reaching out to many businesses in the community to get barrels from School Street and Newsome Harlow.The best part, Dave Wilson Nursery provided fruit trees, grapes, and blueberries to plant. Dave Wilson's representative, Will Reid, even brought plenty of fresh stone fruits to munch on while we worked and helped with the projects on the school grounds.We look forward to more days out in our garden! Halloween Social 2023 Calling all 7th -12th graders. Come Join us for a fun evening. It will be on Friday, October 27th from 7-10 PM at the Mountain Oaks San Andreas site. The cost is $10 per person. We will have music for dancing or students can just hang out and have fun. Snacks will be provided but students can also bring some to share. Students must complete a Special Events Permission Slip and have it approved by their mentor teacher and the administrator. Students must have their forms and payment turned in by Friday, October 20th. APPROPRIATE COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED BUT NOT REQUIRED. Posted 10/6/23
