Sutter's Fort We are going to Living History Day on April 17th. This is an overnight trip where students experience life on the Gold Rush Fields of California. This is a huge deal and so exciting for students. It also involves a lot of participation. I would love for you all to encourage students to join, and I would love if parents and teachers would join us as volunteers. We have many stations that staff and parents need to run. Families, this is a free event that is put together by all of YOUR hard work. Please, lets all work together to put together an amazing experience for our students. Next PORTS Virtual Field Trip This coming Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10:00 am is our next PORTS virtual field trip to Oceano Dunes State Park. This fun park is located on the Central Coast near Pismo Beach. It is a cool place to go if you have an off-road vehicle, but it is also an amazing habitat to see and learn about. TDAP Clinic The Health department is willing to come to Mountain Oaks and give free TDAP to any student who is in need of getting the TDAP immunization and does not have private insurance. Parents must be present with them for the student to receive the immunization. This is great for our 6th graders, so that they will be compliant for the immunization requirements for 7th grade. They will not come out unless we have students who want to receive the free immunization. This is a great way to get it done easily and free. All students must be up-to-date on their immunizations to be able to attend school group activities, such as: workshops, field trips and special events. Students who are not fully immunized can be enrolled and meet one-on-one with their mentor teacher but cannot participate in group activities.
