Mountain Oaks Science Fair

Welcome to the 2026 Science Fair,
This years Science Fair is on February 27th. Sign ups are due by February 13th.

Note that JUDGING STARTS AT 10 AM, Students must set up by 9:30
The Mountain Oaks science project provides opportunities for all students in grades K-12 to explore areas of interest and then creatively exhibit them. *NOTE: for an entry to count for the students 8th grade competency, they must complete a formal scientific inquiry. Please click on the click to complete the required Sign-Up form which also will explain the rules of entry and judging standards.

New Staff Phone # Extensions

We have new phone number extensions for all staff members. We were having some phone issues, so we must make the change now instead of waiting until after Winter Break. Please review the list before calling the school, so that you have the correct extension for the person you are trying to reach. Posted 12/10/25

Sutter Creek Site - Winter Craft Day & Cookie Exchange

Hello Students and Families,
You are cordially invited to the Amador Site Winter Craft Day & Cookie Exchange. The more, the merrier. All ages.

When: Wednesday, December 17th 12:00 to 1:00
Where: 1 Prosperity Circle - The Amador Site
Why: To make some Winter Crafts, To Share some Winter Cookies, To enjoy each others company, and to make new friends
What to bring (if you wish): Some cookies to exchange. If it is a special recipe, you are welcome to bring copies to share as well. Of course, you are welcome to come even without cookies.

Workshops

We have 2 new Workshops for the Spring Semester: ELA 1st-3rd Grade and Track 4th/5th Grade. ELA will be on Wednesdays from 11-12 starting January 21st. Track is on Thursdays from 3:15-4:15. Third and sixth graders can also participate in Track, but they will not be able to compete in the county wide competitions. Click on the title for the Google form to sign-up.

All of our Fall Workhops (except for Mythology and Math K-2) will continue after Winter Break. Please review the workshop schedule for when your workshop will resume. If you were attending a class in the fall, you do not need to sign-up again for the Spring Semester. Students on a workshops wait list, will still be on wait list until we have an opening and contact you.

Amazing Wreath Making Workshop

Thank you to the Green Team for putting together an amazing Wreath Making experience for our families tonight, December 11th. This Green Team fundraier made $220.00 and taught families a new skill that they can use next year to make more wreaths for their homes. We hope this can become a yearly event.

Congratulations Anika Neuvert

Please join us in congratulating our Mountain Oaks 6th grade student Anika Neuvert who competed in the Jiu-Jitsu California State Championships last week. In the Gi Division (in Jiu-Jitsu uniform) Anika won the California State Championship title and Gold Medal. In the NoGi Division (non-uniform) Anika won another California State Championship title and Gold Medal.

What an accomplishment for Anika to have earned double Gold Medals and two California State Championship titles in Jiu-Jitsu! Her commitment and dedication to the sport is admirable!

Great job Anika!

Congratulations to our December Student, Parent and Staff of the Month

Workshop Evaluations

At the end of every semester, we ask all of our families to complete a Workshop Evaluation form for each workshop their student participated in during the semester. Slug Slide Mud Run - New Date

Slip, slide, and slime your way to the finish line for Mountain Oaks Science Camp! This obstacle course based mud runs proceeds will go towards supporting our schools TK-12 Science Camp

High School Graduate Lock-In

We will be having a High School Graduate Lock-In on Thrusday, May 21st from 9:00 PM until 6AM. There will be games, prizes, video games, movie marathon, henna, pizza, donuts and more!!! Graduates may invite one Mountain Oaks 10th or 11th grader as a guest. Graduates may invite one Mountain Oaks 10th or 11th grader as a guest. eScrip Fundraiser

As the holidays approach we want to remind Mountain Oaks families about the eScrip program. All you have to do is create an account with eScrip, register your store cards and credit cards and then just shop like you normally would and the school will receive a percentage from the merchants who are participating in the program. It's an easy way to help earn money for the Mountain Oaks PTO. Thank you for your Support! Posted 11/5/25

Santa's Helper

We will be offering our Santa's Helper program again this year for our Mountain Oaks' families in need of gifts for their children during the holiday season. Families must complete 1 online form per student before November 12th.

Starting November 13th Santa's Helper can come choose a numbered ornament from our Santa Help tree with information about the wants and needs of a Mountain Oaks student in need. All of the Santa's Helpers gifts are due by December 10th.

Families in need will need to pick up their gifts from December 15-18th. Any gifts not picked up by 4:00 PM on December 18th will be donated to Santa's Express.

Senior Graduation Information

We will be having a Senior Meeting on Friday, December 5th at 11:00 AM at the San Andreas site. We will be choosing the design for the senior shirts, discussing the graduation ceremony, scholarships, senior graduation trip and Senior Grad Nite.

Seniors are required to complete the Graduation Checklist form by January 30th, even if they are not participating in the graduation Ceremony.
