Please join us in congratulating our Mountain Oaks 6th grade student Anika Neuvert who competed in the Jiu-Jitsu California State Championships last week. In the Gi Division (in Jiu-Jitsu uniform) Anika won the California State Championship title and Gold Medal. In the NoGi Division (non-uniform) Anika won another California State Championship title and Gold Medal.

What an accomplishment for Anika to have earned double Gold Medals and two California State Championship titles in Jiu-Jitsu! Her commitment and dedication to the sport is admirable!

Green Team is hosting a Wreath Making night on December 11th at 4:00PM at the San Andreas site. We will have snacks and hot cocoa. Green Team students will be demonstrating how to make a wreath with fresh greenery. This fun night will be full of crafting, laugher, and treats! We hope you all come join us and learn a new skill. Winter Craft Day is Friday, December 12th from 10:00-2:00. Everyone is asked to bring in a clean aluminum can to make a snowman during the crafts from 10:00-12:00. We will have a potluck from 12:00-1:00. Please see the flyer to know what to bring. At 12:30 we are doing a Cookie exchange. Families are asked to bring in their favorite homemade Christmas cookie or dessert and 10 copies of the recipe to share. From 1:00-2:00 we will have a Student, Parent, and staff volleyball game. We will be having a High School Graduate Lock-In on Thrusday, May 21st from 9:00 PM until 6AM. There will be games, prizes, video games, movie marathon, henna, pizza, donuts and more!!! Our Santa's Helper Tree is up in the front office at the San Andreas Site. It has ornaments which represent a child in need within our Mountain Oaks Community. We are having our Annual Santa's Secret Workshop PTO Fundraiser on December 2-4th at the Mountain Oaks Library in San Andreas. Students can buy items for their families member from $.50 to $5.00. We are n need of New, Homemade or gently used items to sell. Please contact Becky Jensen @ 209-559-7501

As the holidays approach we want to remind Mountain Oaks families about the eScrip program. All you have to do is create an account with eScrip, register your store cards and credit cards and then just shop like you normally would and the school will receive a percentage from the merchants who are participating in the program. We are offering a Winter Clothes Exhange at the San Andreas site on December 8-12th. This is a wonderful way to clean out your closests and also get items for your children for free! Families can bring outgrown clothing (please organize by size) and we will have put them on tables in the courtyard. Coats, gloves, snowsuits, long pants and shirt or any other warm clothing are greatly appreciated. Then you can pick up items brought in by other families that might fit your child(ren) for free. We will be offering our Santa's Helper program again this year for our Mountain Oaks' families in need of gifts for their children during the holiday season. Families must complete 1 online form per student before November 12th.

Starting November 13th Santa's Helper can come choose a numbered ornament from our Santa Help tree with information about the wants and needs of a Mountain Oaks student in need. All of the Santa's Helpers gifts are due by December 10th.

Families in need will need to pick up their gifts from December 15-18th. Any gifts not picked up by 4:00 PM on December 18th will be donated to Santa's Express.
