Spring Assessments & Growth Week: April 13th – 17th

Dear Families and Students,
We are looking forward to our upcoming state and schoolwide assessments for the 2025/2026 school year. Starting Monday, April 13th, through Friday, April 17th, our students will participate in a focused week of growth and achievement.

These assessments—including CAASPP, CAST, MAP, i-Ready, and PFT—are vital tools that help us understand how our students are growing academically and physically. Most importantly, they allow us to celebrate their progress and identify how we can best support their unique learning journeys.

The Value of These Assessments
As a charter school, these scores hold a specific importance. Our CAASPP, CAST, and schoolwide data are primary criteria used during our charter renewal process, helping us demonstrate the success of our program to our authorizers. While we know that our students show their brilliance in many different ways—through art, kindness, and hands-on projects—these tests provide a snapshot of the academic excellence we strive for together.

Schedule & Logistics
Your mentor and/or resource specialist should have already reached out to share your student’s specific testing dates and times. If you have any questions regarding your schedule, please feel free to contact them directly.

How You Can Help at Home
We want our students to feel confident, calm, and ready to shine. You can support them by focusing on these "Big Four" preparations:
* Rest Up: A consistent, early bedtime helps ensure students are refreshed and alert.
* Fuel Up: A nutritious breakfast provides the sustained energy needed for concentration.
* Power Up: If your student uses a school-issued device, please ensure it is fully charged the night before.
* Speak Up (with Kindness): Remind your child that these tests are simply a chance to show what they’ve learned. A "do your best" attitude is all we ask for!

We are so incredibly proud of the hard work our students have put in this year. We want everyone to remember that while these tests are important, they are just one of the many ways we measure the incredible potential of our learners.
