Assembly Bill 84 is moving quickly — the Senate Education Committee will vote on Tuesday, July 16. This bill threatens to bury every charter school in red tape and unfunded mandates that shift money away from students and into administrative overhead.

📣 Important AB 84 Update
While we’re enjoying a well-earned summer break, lawmakers in Sacramento are still at work — and they’re pushing forward a bill that could seriously impact our school.

Assembly Bill 84 claims to fight fraud, but what it really does is bury schools like ours in red tape and unfunded mandates. If passed, it could mean more money spent on paperwork and bureaucracy — and less on teachers, classrooms, and kids.

We all support transparency and accountability in public education — but AB 84 goes too far.

The good news? It’s not too late to make a difference. AB 84 will be heard in the California State Senate Education Committee in Sacramento on July 16. After that, it heads to the full Senate for a final vote.
