  • Mountain Oaks Forestry Challenge Team Wins First Place!
The Forestry Challenge is a four day competition held at five different locations around California. During the four days, the participating teams have the opportunity to meet new people, learn about the environment they are in, learn how to use forestry tools, and finally make a presentation using the skills they have learned to solve a problem. Our team, consisting of Lars T., Conor B., Naomi E., Isaiah E., and myself, participated in the Sequoia Challenge this year and came away with a great amount of knowledge and the first place award. We would like to get more students involved in this program because it is such an amazing way to learn, not just about forestry, but also about working hard and working as a team. • Viewing The New Website Issues
A couple problems have showed up on the new website.  Some people are having trouble viewing particularly the workshop charts and other similar uploaded documents. One thing that you can try is to view it in a different web browser. (Google, Internet Explorer, Firefox etc.)  We are working on this glitch, but don't have a perfect solution yet. If Mountain Oaks has been your default homepage, the new website will not usually come up properly until you go to the new website by typing it in (www.mountainoaks.org) and then resetting your homepage to the new address that pops up in the address bar. If you need help with other problems with the website you can call Jean at ext. 2226.
