  • Fall Sports - Practice Starts Monday, Aug. 10th

Players need to have a completed athletic packet, concussion form, and a sports physical completed to participate in competitive sports - practice or competition. Physical forms completed by your own doctor can be on the doctor's form, or the form provided on the Athletics page. Mountain Oaks School participates in sports physicals done at Calaveras High School. This is an inexpensive way to get your physical done before school starts. The cost for a physical performed at Calaveras High School is $20.00 and can be paid in cash or by check made out to: Mountain Oaks School. Girls physicals will be performed on Tuesday, August 4th, starting at 3:00P in the upper gym. Boys physicals will be performed on Wednesday, August 5th, starting at 3:00P in the upper gym. Please arrive EARLY to get your sports physical done. Calaveras High School releases students at 3:25P and shortly after 3:00P they begin to restrict access on to the campus. If you cannot attend the dates at Calaveras High School you will need to get a sports physical completed by your doctor on your own. All forms and game schedules are posted on the Athletics page. If you have questions contact our Athletic Director, Kathie, at or (209) 754-0532 ext. 2242.

  • Mouse Squad

Mountain Oaks has just been accepted to participate in Mouse Squad for the 2015-2106 year!  Mouse Squad is a nationally recognized, innovative teaching/hands on technology learning program, that supports national standards.  Students who participate in Mouse Squad will learn to design and make STEM projects using technology and will be better prepared to become digital media and technology experts. They will also have options to run a Tech Help Desk, do tech peer tutoring and serve as school's tech experts.  Additionally, Mouse Squad students will have opportunities for field trips to such places as Intel, Cisco and the Computer History Museum.  The program will be coordinated by Jalynne Redman and Monika Riedel and is open to grades 4-12.  Both teachers will be attending Mouse Squad training this summer in order to launch the program at the San Andreas campus and at the Ione campus.  Mouse Squad workshop sign-ups will be posted at the start of school in August for interested students.  For more information go to:

  • Yearbook 2014-2015

We are taking orders for the 2014-2015 yearbook.  This year, we will only be offering hardcover yearbooks.  This is a better deal, because we get 30 more pages and the price is about the same for hardcover as we paid for a softcover last year.  Families have the option to order online at or you can order through the school. Orders must be placed by 8/4/15 (no exceptions). Students may pay an additional $4.95 to have their yearbook personalized.  The yearbooks will be ready to pick up on 9/1/15.
We still need photos for most of the school events.  We would love to have support from our families and students by helping us get photos together.  The yearbook company we are using this year allows us to have parents and students  upload photos to their site for the school to use on the yearbook.  To upload the photos please visit: and type in Mountain Oaks School in the "Search for your School" field. Parents, family members, seniors and friends will also be able to upload the Senior Notes to the yearbook website.  Or, you can bring in your camera card or send pictures via email to me at or post them on Facebook or Instragram using #MountainOaks.  We would even love to have students' selfies at the school with their friend
