6. PRESENTATIONS
7. OLD BUSINESS 7.1. Amadoropoly Update (Marie) – Marie reported about a meeting this Thursday at 4pm at the Amador Community Foundation to kick off Amadoropoly. If we want to be a part of the group it will cost $25. Last year over $400 was made. Discussion came back to location of meetings and getting both sites involved in fundraising. Anne moved that Amador Sites participate in Amadoropoly and put a deposit check down. Debra seconded. Passed unanimously. Due to the deadline for deposit, Anne will write a personal check and be refunded.
8. NEW BUSINESS 8.1. Discuss Committee Meeting attendance, meeting day/time and tardiness and Attendance/Voting policy. (Anne) Anne updated us on the Attendance/Voting policy and the Governing Board. Experiences from other sites were related in regards to the policy. Anne asked if Amador Steering has an issue with the voting policy of 2 out of previous 3. Rose made a motion that the attendance policy is 1 of the previous two meeting then withdrew the motion. Discussion died in regards to the Attendance/Voting policy. 8.2. Request for Brown Academy: 2 red rubber balls, 2 soccer balls, 2 basketballs, a hand pump and extra needles, and a storage container for them all. (Monica/Anne) – This was requested in response to keeping the kids preoccupied and in response to the possible soccer workshop. Rose moved that we approve Monica’s request. Janet seconded. Debra volunteered to donate a basketball holder. Motion passed unanimously. 8.3. Drama Production (Colin) – Colin updated us on his drama workshop production for the week of the 13th-20th of April. He has contacted the Sutter Creek Auditorium and they should be calling back today, at some point. Discussion took place about other venues; other venues he tried are booked for other productions; he has not tried the town halls yet. Debra asked about the stage at Brown Academy and various discussions took place about what that would require to have ready. Colin is still pursuing venue and cost. Marie suggested going through Ruthella at the Community Center for the Town Hall. This week will be temporarily blocked for Amador until finalization of the date of production. 8.4. Teen Group Requests (Colin/Kari) – Colin presented the Teen Group request in regards to a Kirkwood Ski Trip for Wednesday January 9th (per Kyle Z.) with alternate dates of the 7th and the 10th. It will be $35 per person and needs at least 20 people to go. Discussion took place. Anne moved that we tentatively approve the Kirkwood ski trip subject to clarification of who the credentialed person will be, the coordinator will need to file field trip paperwork, and the set date and it will need to go through the administrator. Debra/Janet. Discussion took place about whether this would be open to teens at other sites. Kari and Colin said yes it would be open to all Mountain Oaks teens. Motion was passed unanimously. Rose reinforced that the Teens will be on a deadline for putting this together and getting all paperwork in by the last day of school before break. The Teen Social will be on the 19th at $5.00 per person but those who bring food to share will get in free. Anne/Rose moved the social be approved and passed unanimously. Senior Trip/Grad Night was also brought up. Kari is in charge of coordinating an Amador Senior Trip Grad night in Disneyland May 14-17th. Kari said they need to set up fundraisers for this trip. A meeting will be held to discuss the fundraisers. Various discussions took place on fundraising ideas including See’s Candy fundraising; bake sales, build-a-bear, dinner for a parent social, and a student art auction.
