3.        CONSENT AGENDA

3.1.  Approval of Agenda:  Anne/Janet, modified agenda approved unanimously.

3.2.  Approval of previous minutes: Anne/Marie; 3 in favor with 2 abstaining.

3.3.  Review of Action Items from previous minutes.

4.        COMMENTS/ANNOUNCMENTS

4.1.  Winter Craft Day is Tuesday, December 18^th, 9:30a to 12p.

4.2.  Winter Break is December 21 thru January 4^th. No workshops the week of January 7^th.  

4.3.  GeoBee will be Jan. 10^th at 10 am.

4.4.  Parent Social will be on 12/11 11-12:30 at the Pine Grove Site and 4-6^th at Brown.

5.        REPORTS

5.1.  Brown Report (Anne) -- Anne updated the Committee on the progress of Brown and the workshops. Workshop evaluations were discussed.

5.2.  Workshop Progress Updates and Budget (Melissa) – The budget and the attendance were discussed.  An attendance update was distributed. Janet updated the group on the 8-12^th Drama and the possible production venues. Due to low attendance and instructors not being TB Tested/Fingerprinted, Life Science, Algebra, and Geometry classes will be cancelled at Ione.

5.3.  Pottery (Rose) Rose reported on pottery. There was a discussion about the impact of the 3^rd class verses the schedule and how it may change for Spring Semester. Discussion of a 2^nd qualified adult took place.

7.        OLD BUSINESS

7.1.  Update on Workshop Evaluations (Anne) See 5.1. Instructors will be given feedback at a later date.

8.        NEW BUSINESS

8.1.  Bodies Revealed Field Trip for Science (Monica/Melissa) – Item was deferred to steering and advised that Monica would do a Special Day field trip form if she wants only her class go. Otherwise it was recommended that this be opened to all families to attend at a group rate, slated possibly for the No Workshop week the first week of January.

8.2.  Review/Set day and time for workshops for attendance. (Anne) – This will be dealt with at Parent Social.

8.3.  Planning for Spring Semester Workshops (Anne) – Discussion took place about planning sessions for Workshops and perhaps making it longer. Schedules at Brown Academy took place as well.  Melissa will survey the instructors for availability.

8.4.   Soccer OK. (Anne) The Workshop Committee has given the OK for Soccer to start in place of Life Science and World History at Brown.
