Includes an interview. Due April 1st. They have their own application. Adam Dyken Legacy Fine Arts Scholarship $427 For individuals pursuing an education in fine arts, music, writing, communication, environmental programs, alternative healing arts, sustainable organic culture, activist, and/or community organizing. American Legion Auxiliary $250-$1000 Must live in Railroad Flat Elementary School Boundaries. Will accept a CHSPE as a graduate. Arnold Rotary Adult Individual Initiative Grant $1000 for an adult residing in Calaveras County and if you have experienced unemployment or if you have been employed only in low wage jobs and if you are actively striving to improve your earning power and employability. Arnold Rotary club (for high schoolers) Primary Residence/Arnold zip codes: 95223, 95224, 95233, 3 High Scholarships: Athletics $250, Vocational Career $250, Career and high achievement in challenging coursework and strong service to community, church or school $500. Brian Files Memorial $500 - $1000 Aviation or the trades. Calaveras County Arts Council $500 and $1000: Need Application. Write an essay about yourself and the arts and include 2 letters of recommendation from persons associated with the arts. Adults may apply. Calaveras Wine Grape Alliance $250 Standard MO scholarship application Calaveras Soroptimists Have separate applications for graduating senior girls who pursue 2 & 4 year colleges, and girls pursing vocational school careers. CHP Squad Club $500 Columbia College Future Visions Award Free Tuition: Mt. Oaks Administrators choose one student. Junior Livestock Boosters Must verify that you sold an animal at the fair auction. Mountain Ranch Fund $400- $500 Must live in Mountain Ranch with MR zip code, need transcript. Look in scholarship file for boundary map Murphys Business Association $1000 Must live in Murphys, Douglas Flat or Vallecito. Can we use the Mt. Oaks Scholarship Application along with intended school, intended major, SAT, GPA, school activities and 1-3 page essay on any topic with personal meaning. San Andreas Lions Club $500 Essay should reflect on you making contribution to your community when your return from college. Soroptimists International Calaveras County Girls only. Two different applications. One is for girls going to a Community College or a 4-year college, and one is for career/vocational /career college. Veteran’s Memorial Must be a child of a veteran and have discharge papers. Miss Calaveras Scholarship Pageant Pick up an application from Merlyn or the Calaveras Fair website. Awards for Miss Calaveras and Miss Community Service, etc. Golden State Cellular All graduating seniors who apply for any scholarship, will enter into a pool for a Year’s worth of calling on a Golden State Cell Phone West Point Scholarship Association $1500 Must live in West Point or Willseyville. Need transcript, and will be interviewed. Must be full time college. Due April. Bass Family Firefighters Memorial Scholarship $400 reserved for 1 Calaveras County student and 1 Tuolumne student, who is a dependent of a fire service organization belonging to the Training Officers Association or a member in their own right. Application due April 1. Amador County AAUW Amador County women who plan to attend a CA community college, need school transcript and have an interview. Up Country Rotary Club Jackson Rotary Club Need two references Dick Mangum Resource Conservation $500 for natural resource management/conservation including: forestry, wildlife management, soil science, range management conservation, biology, watershed management agriculture & animal husbandry. Amador Soroptimists School transcripts for all 4 years @ Mt. Oaks 2 letters of recommendation (counselor/Teacher) and someone in the community who Knows their strong points, dependability, etc.Misc.
